Here is a more
close-up view taken later, after the hull has been planked on the sides,
and the hull
after-body has been completely covered and glassed. The fore-body is
still
accessible
for installing landing gear and aileron linkages, but it has been strengthened
by the addition
of the keel, battens and chines. Bill is using Hoop pine for construction,
since it is
easily obtained locally in Australia, and it is reasonably light and
strong.
