Coots look so graceful with the wings on, as with this beauty. The wings are built per plans,

except for a thin Kevlar skin. Barely seen at lower left is an 8-cylinder, 180-hp Jabiru engine,

to be mounted via a unique elliptical Nomex pylon.  Steve had hoped for a total empty eight

of 1400 pounds, and he did well to keep it to 1490 lbs after painting it.
