Al Checky's Gallery

Al's Coot was built mostly by Stewart Farmer in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

I used to visit with Stew and his wife, Ruby, on trips to Canada in the late 90's.

After Stew passed on, his Coot wound up in London (Canada), near where I grew up.

When the London owner died, the Coot was purchased by Roger Rognrud in Madison.

Roger was really enthused about restoring this Coot, but cancer took him in his prime!

His devastated widow gifted the Coot to me, but after a day I gave it to Al Checky.

Al was going to restore the Coot for Roger anyway, and now he can do it for himself

and his growing boys.
